I only wish I could have gotten more then one pack of Lithiums. The titaniums should last me a while though. Ones that I have that I forgot to include were the "1350mah" batteries you can get off of DX. But those should keep me plenty busy.

I just dont understand why people just dont buy rechargables.... in my experience with Lithiums vs Durracell 1000niHms, I found only a slight more power from lithiums... neglagable in fact... and that for only aroun a minute of on time.....where the rechargables I use, keep a strong current worth of GOOD burning power for over a week....two in some cases where I hadnt used it all that extensively.
For me, at least, rechargables seem to better/best route..... sure they up your electric bill a tiny iota per month... but again a few cents at the most....with no need to buy another pack of $$batteries....
~The first week I had my first laser, I had gone through about 15 packs of lithiums... where as my Duracell 1000 nihm's work well for over a week without having to recharge them.

So can someone explain why many seem to lean towards Lithiums instead ? :-?

I think it's because of the little extra power you get from lithiums.
With lithium i'm able to light matches a few inches further away and i'm able to light red matches with lithium as well.
With the recharchable the red matches only gives a little smoke. (with x85 avg 98mw)

For pointing I use recharables and lithiums only when this extra power is needed.
I use energizer ultimate lithium and I don't know if there is any difference with the e2 lithiums.(only a slightly longer runtime i suppose)

But i guess if you have a >125mw laser it doesn't matter which batteries you use(correct me if i'm wrong)

I've tried Titaniums in my X105, and after 5 minutes of use they were dead. As said before rechargables last much longer!

titaniums are overpriced alkalines. they have maybe 150-200mah more, but no more voltage. the lithiums are awesome to start when they are 1.8v+ but after that first 10 seconds run they drop but hold their voltage better. NiMH rechargeables are the same, they are better at holding their voltage. Alkalines drop voltage fast under high drain loads.

Hey now! I got them cheap and I have 6 AAA rechargeables now, looking to get some more possibly tomorrow. Lithiums do give a bit more kick then other batteries although at retail price they're not worth it. Yet, when trying to show off they sure do put out for a long time. ;)

My rechargables last a long time. So long that I get scared when they finally run out. I think something is wrong with my laser lol

Yes.. I do have a 125mW.....yet My 70mW CNI also seems to work just as well with Rechargables... albiet, now that I think back to when I bled my wallet for lithiums, it did perform a little bit better(the 70mW), but only for several minutes of use, then was weaker then a half drained rechargable.. I suppose 50mW or less, one would note a much bigger difference... to burn, or not to burn :)
