If they come in my house, they're dead. Next time I see a cockroach, that thing is roasted. I wish I knew how many milliwatts that laser was. If you lived in Texas, you'd realize how big these things are, usually 2+ inches long, and the flying ones are the worst  But now all those suckers will BURN!

That thing come by ma house, I KILL IT! ;D Well good luck killing a 2 inch monster with a 1mm dot. ::) RA_pierce's laser is probably ~100mW but it only ignites the powder. That guy's IR gun is a 30W diode. :p

Put jar over cockroach = lots of time to burn it.
You're still probably gonna have to recharge your batteries a couple of times. :p

I hate cockroaches.

I've tried, but you can't get them with your laser. They run too fast, and when you shine the laser light near them they freak out and run around even more! You'd have to glue down their feet so they stay still, but that's seriously cruel.

So instead, I just squish 'em :) *SPLAT*

Whenever I want to kill some bugs I use the old aerosol+lighter trick. [smiley=evil.gif]
It's great for clearing spiders and webs out of the basement.

Hell yeah dude, that's how I used to kill all the centipedes and the scorpions back in Mexico.

I use a method like that, instead I fill up a spray bottle with acetone and use that as my flame thrower. That way it gets some of the burning liquid on the bug I'm trying to destroy [smiley=evil.gif]

You guys are pathetic! What you do is throw some adhesive tape (or paper) on the bug, and fold it over. Now, spray AXE all over it, and tape a match to it. Now, just for kicks, light the match with a powerful laser. For more kicks, you could put sulfur, gunpowder, or anything else explosive and pour it on the tape. Another method is gluing the bug to a sparkler and lighting it (with a laser, of course ;D)

Clearly the best way to kill a roach is trap it in a small glass jar and bury the jar in a bucket of thermite.

First time ive heard that one...

+1 repz for you!!!! ;D
Or... stick the insect inside a GLASS JAR, and THEN into a bucket of thermite. Teh glass will melt and send the insect into it's glassy grave...

So you're gonna waste thermite that burns so hot it melts through metal to kill one bug that probably dies at 60 degrees anyway? ;D

Cockroaches are pretty sturdy little bastards, there's all those theories about them surviving a nuclear apocalypse if we have one...
