Nice pics!

Did you make all of them with different diffraction gratings?

What did you use for the green "liquid sky"?

Thank you :D

I used the "starfield grating" from stonetek.. The liquid sky effect lens was not the lens you included in my package. It was a lens from Novalasers.

Yeah, i noticed it was not the lens i included. Because it would look different on the green. That's why i asked.. ;)

The lens i gave you consists of two elements - a normal collimating lens, and a diffraction grating on top of it. The lens has to focus the beam, and the diffraction grating spreads it.

You can use the entire thing on the blu ray or on a red by simply swapping out the lens. But if you put it on top of a green, it will not look pretty, as it already has a collimated beam, which would then pass another collimator. If you remove the lens and only use the difraction grating, it works with greens as well. But since you already have a standalone diffraction grating, it's better not to take this one appart, so it doesn't get fingerprints on it...

Awesome pictures!

My only advise (since you asked) is for pictures, try using incense for beamshots, because the fog is distorts the light.

Other then that suggestion, your pictures rock! I’m defiantly going to have to invest in one of those blu-rays….

Nice pics! I need to find some time after dark to do some of this kind of stuff! BTW, is your IgorT the 132 mW blu-ray?

Thanks all for your nice comments. :-*

keeperx, I took a few pics from the side but they didn't turn out very good. I have to work on that I guess.

I've had some problems with my fog machine, the fog seems very.. how can I explain this but the fog is not as "thick" as before and disappears very fast in a closed room..

The 132mW blu-ray is from IgorT, yes. It burns better than the red200mW.
I love it ;) And the colour makes the pics ALOT cooler.

Thanks, Benji

That's a wicked beamshot gallery you posted there. Beamies are my favorite eyecandy. Try the incense trick from Ace, and post results please. ;)

Oh, one thing, did you use a tripod for the camera? If not, use one next time. ;)

Hah :-*

Nah I didn't use any.. But I'm thinking of buying one now that it is so fun to take pics.

Have I seen wrong or have DX stopped selling that " Gorillapod" that you can mount pretty much everywhere?

I'll try incense some day if the fog from the fog machine doesn't get any better.

BTW there's a solar eclipse today ;) Would be cool if you could see the beam at day.

Oh, then DX would be right about their statement "Visible beam in daylight" of their 200 red ;D

Nah it didn't get very dark...

If the gorilla pod is out, then just take something else. ::)
