Well, I'm a derp.

I got the fluorescent dye today (and on my fingers, which are now very purple :p) and put some in the cup with the gel balls in it...

Shined my laser in, and noticed the balls did not fluoresce yellow anymore...but the result was still very beautiful, almost a cherry ish red.

So I was confused, why did they suddenly stop fluorescing in yellow?

Then it hit me; The balls are originally blue; Up and Up puts blue dye in the air freshener, to make them look nice.

I poured out some of the blue water stuff, and lo and behold, it fluoresces yellow under green laser light.

But the gel balls are still neat, as they absorbed the fluorescent dye quite well, as you can see!

That's an interesting result, were you able to try any of the other dye on them? Also you should be able to get it off of your hands with rubbing alcohol, alcohol based hand sanitizer, or nail polish remover.
