I can honestly say that this caught me by surprise. I was shining my blue rpl around the house and noticed that it reacted like a blu-ray with random household objects. It also charges GiTD items.

WOW, that's awesome! The effect is significantly less than that of a blu-ray but still,it kinda looks funky cause I never saw a blue laser act like that :p

Try pointing it at those neon orange colored detergent containers(those things also react with green lasers and produce a yellowish color). You can also get a red glow by firing it through an artificial ruby. Btw blue blocking lasershades are nice when doing this because they filter out the blue so you can see the fluorescence colors more easily.

Other common things to try are dish soap and road cones.

Shine the 473mn into a white LED and see what happen. I bet it will be cool. I wish that I could try it.

Why would anything special happen? I think it's just gonna glow blue... :-/

No, it should golw white at about 4-5x the brightnes of the original blue.
White LED's use a blue light emitting chip (460-470mn) and the light is transformed through a yellow phosphor to make white.
I don't know if it works with a laser, but not try it ::)

Hm...I always thought it was like a stacked diode...RGB in one. :-/ It doesn't do anything special with a violet LED.Someone care to try with a 473nm?

Your video says "We're sorry, this video is no longer available." when I click play, but if I copy the URL and open it in a new tab, it works fine.

great videos!
yeh i also noticed when i got my blue that when shined on a neon pink background, the dot turned ice white.
when shined on a neon yellow background it changes green.
shining a 532 on the same background turns the dot bright orange just like in Razako's vids.
