While working on my single color projector, got a bit side tracked and played with its greenie :)

Camera can't really handle it, so it appears a bit dimmer and wider beam then in person.

First off, LPM shot :tinfoil:

Now todays collection of pictures:

Need to finish that projector and do a beamshow.

NP mate, Ill catch ya when I can :p
My projector is a mess on the floor right now... im picking up pace kinda in assembling it, I need to make the front of the case later.. I got the rest of it done though, just need to find the time to assemble, test and run it.

Mines meant more for beamshows then complex animations.. so yeah, im using PT-20s..Ill upgrade way later.

Your projector looks like mine, a bunch of pieces on the floor ;)

Would you be able to get some power readings from this laser under modulation? They do well CW, but I'm worried they'll do pretty badly when modulated, or in scanner use.

Sure, I haven't this one yet, but I did a few readings of thier 400mw analog model (that did 575mw)... I have the power readings in the sale thread on PL:

SELLING 400mw 532nm DHOM Analog laser

5V at modulation input = 575mw peak, 565mw average.
4V at modulation input = 446mw peak, 435mw average.
3V at modulation input = 300mw peak, 290mw average.
2V at modulation input = 155mw peak, 150mw average.
1V at modulation input = 15mw peak, 10mw average.
0V at modulation input = No laser output.

Ill take power readings of the 1W model later today.. thats TTL.

1.6 watt fun... i see you got the fire extinguisher ready in pic #3 - perhaps a good precaution when mucking about the house with that much power :D

These modulations, were they just CW voltage or pulsed? I'm asking mainly because the FB3 (And I think all Pangolin DAC's) actually pulse the modulation output, even if it's just a single dot.

Most DPSS lasers don't like being modulated at all, and sometimes you'll only get 300mW or so from a 600mW laser when modulated.

No, these were all CW. Right now im running from a RIYA lite. Still haven't gotten around to testing the TTL one (which quite obviously will be pulsed). I can't test the analog one I listed pulsed, as I already sold it long ago.

I love how you have the fire extinguisher in the 3rd picture :p
Anyways, :kewlpics:
