X/Y Scanner question

Hey, Im pretty new to this but can you tell me how and what I all need to make this YouTube - My homemade X/Y laser scanner This amazes me so much and I just thought it would be great if I could make one.

The cheaper I could do it the better because I dont plan on doing professional shows lol, but I would still like it to be pretty sweet.

Im sure theres videos out there but dont know were to find them. So if you could suggest a video that would be great, since i have never done anything like this before a step by step tutorial would be great.

u'll need some 'scanning galvos' with an 'amp' to power them controlled by the 'correction board' (sticky at the top of this forum - sound card DAC mod), also u'll need some software like

oh as well as your laser and optics.

putting it together is down to you and alot of reading, i hope this helps as a start as i can understand finding things like the formula for the circumference of a circle without knowing what PI is or even the word circumference can make it frustrating.
