Have anyone seen this before? I hope not. This was a prototype for a serous school project for a hopefully brand new kind of laser projector/scanner. But my backstabbing mentor cancelled it, after a promise to make it real. He's so full of bs.

Ok rant over. I saw this thread and reminded me to post it. :)

1000th post special!
I made this in may and kept it secret till I got to make a more clean and better working model... but since that ain't gonna happen I've decided to "show off". For building materials I used toothpicks, component leads, a VCR-thing and other scraps. The vids are short because the laser has a duty cycle and I used real smoke, which makes breathing difficult and stings the eyes. I do have a smokemachine now tho. ;)


It basically does 360 degrees liquid sky, spirograph-like pattens all over the place, and tunnel. Looks nice. Enjoy! :D

Wow thats awesome ! though I think FMLs is better because the laser doesn't need to move :)

Yeah that's a moving head, it only moves the scanner this way or that way, it doesn't spin.

2 watts of green, with DT40 scanners, a pangolin FB3 and all squeezed into a moving head.... common its too cool!!

But i must say for a DIY project yours is dam impressive, any chance of a tutorial?

I'm uploading some more short vid's, I cant really do much with this laser and poor air. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow ;)

(it's a little broken atm >.<)
