The laser show is pretty cool, but man, watching those videos reminds me of why I find clubs so boring: it's just people basically standing (or I guess dancing if you call it that) around staring at the front area where the lights are and the DJ is standing around in front of his electronics. I'm sure the endorphin-inducing bass and the drugs people take there probably help a bit, but the videos really don't make it look fun.

The worst videos, of course, are the ones showing the DJ sets. The camera swings around the DJ and the crowd, but overall it's just people hanging out in a big crowded mass with little motion.

But anyway, cool laser lighting. I liked that part of it.

Nice show man!

I laughed so hard at 0:51 on the first video with the random chick getting covered with foam and still partying on!

Great outdoor results with that much ambient light and power available. Looks like you had fun :)

Bionic-Badger - seen many a punter lost, standing in front of our visual screens for hours at a time. Probably do the same for lasers if they were not cycled. Things appear a little different to them sometimes :eg:

What else should the kids be doing besides dancing while looking at the DJ and lighting :p ?

WOW! Those beams are bright! Even in the outdoors. I wish I had projects that powerful :p

Off topic now, I see you have LivePro and QuickShow. How do the two compare in terms of creating a live show?

I honestly don't like livepro, but my brother loves it and he probably has more time controlling my projectors than I do. Quickshow is really easy to use and I normally have allot going on at shows besides lasers, so its nice to have something like quickshow. My brother on the other hand loves livepro. It's allot more complex and takes your full attention to operate, but can create a much better show overall. I just dont have the time/patience for it :(

I hear Beyond is pretty good for live shows so im saving up for the cheapest version(which is still ~$900) so hopefully it will be a good middle ground between livepro and quickshow.

Thanks! Let me know how beyond goes for you.
I was looking at it myself but it doesn't come with a FB3/QM2k which is the main reason I want to buy another Pangolin product. I might just go with LD2k for the QM2k and to play all those amazing shows on the showspace, but that wont be for a while since it's 1,500$ for LD2k basic :(

Oh it definitely looks cool from the ground floor. Fun, I don't know. People like to take pictures of themselves at clubs to show that they're having fun to others.

It does look a lot more fun than those big DJ concerts though, probably because of the intimate setting and of course the lasers and props. Maybe I'm thinking more of those DJ concerts than something like this--oh, and those pretty damn boring clubs around here.

Clubs are definitely NOT for everyone. I've been to quite a few, and frankly don't find them to be too enjoyable. If my choice is between a small party with ~20 people, and a night at the club, you can bet I will not be at the club.

That said though, fun can be had there. You just have to drink, smoke, and basically turn off your brain. I suspect many people on here, have trouble with that last part though.

Layman safety question, about that first video, and in general...

Is there any real concern that the beams you have lasing overhead, can be reflected off of things like balloons, and beach balls?

I could possibly see a problem with Mylar balloons...but the beach balls and balloons dropped didn't really reflect anything back.
