You get what you pay for.

It's called ILD SÔS. Google it. It's not necessary at all though, it's just nifty to have.

and i pay alot already IMO....
WIll google it thx :)

EDIT: purchased! :) the second one from ebay.

EDIT2: so the sas is a extra piece of software that can run together with other laser software? or does it load a saved project by laser software and uses its dac?
and it basicly makes the lasers more smooth, less flickering....or?

It loads frames used in laser shows, so .ild, .cat etc. It can optimize and make them easier to scan. It can also load vector drawings or 3D models and convert them into laser frames.

i tried making my own frames, with out ilda sos it was very hard to get them to look right.
They always had issues, there was a free version of ilda sos (not a hacked version but someone else made it) it helped a bit but ilda sos will do alot more.
if you just going to make frames with circles and nothing more than your fine but if you are going to make anything with words or images it will make them look so much better.
also most ilda frames or animations you will play are tuned for 30k galvos and if you are running a set of 15k you will need that software to re optimize the it to get good results..
i wish you would not have bought that ebay projector but good luck i wish you the very best.
But you should learn to build one. its not as hard as it sounds.

i will learn a great deal from that projector :)
and when nice i will upgrade galvo's. and when thats super nice i will sell, give up one hobby and go for lasers only.

i'm probably going to get ILD SOS just because of the price but a quick question. i see you need inkscape, or 3dsmax. but i read that it converts dxf files.... so does this mean i can use my autocad instead?

^That it does! Inkscape is for people who don't have autocad or 3dsmax.

so wait i dont have to draw anything? just load up some animated 3d files and it will play on the wall? thats freeking genius...
purchase fo sho! :)

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but would the spaghetti + RIYA multibus lite be able to work with analog modulated projectors? I can't find much on either site that really mentions anything other than TTL.

I don't see why not. I hope so, because I have that combo and I just ordered an analog projector.. :p

Well analog projectors will still work driven as TTL. My question is if that particular hardware/software combo has the capabilities for true analog modulation.. meaning the hardware is capable of variable voltage on the modulation outputs, opposed to just TTL high and low signals (which are much easier to generate than variable voltage) and the software is capable of a near unlimited color pallet.

I understood what you meant, and as I said: I don't see why not. I know that spaghetti supports analog at least.
