I have one of those, and it's pretty nice. I don't think I'd pay $40 for it, however. I picked mine up for $15. (£7.30)

You can build your own for a lot cheaper using any old motor you happen to have lying around.

About a month ago, XARYLX, got two similar units from Spencer gifts on a close out sale for $9.99 each.  I believe it was XARYLX -- If I'm wrong , Appologies  :-[  He sent one to me as a gift. That is the model I have.

Anywho, It had a sad little <5 mW red in it....  It now has a 50 mW red and I can turn it up trading off life time of 3 AAA cells.

I got mine from ThinkGeek (thinkgeek.com) a few months ago, and I just checked and the shipping from their warehouse in New Jersey to the UK is about $21-23. :(

Spencer's online price is $10, but they only ship to the US. :-/

It wasn't me. :-? But someone might have liked you enough to send you that gift! You should find the correct person and thank him though :D

OR were you the one who bought it from Grn_n_TX. He was the only one I could remember who sold a unit like this to someone back then.

I just called my Spencer's today and they told me they have a few units in stock for $14.99 but will sell it at online price of $9.99 if I bring a print out of the page!

*oops just saw that yuip already got his at 7pounds*
But if andy wants one I can pick up another for you and you can pay for the shipping to UK and whatever paypal fees.

USPS first class airmail to uk 1lb is $10.40 and 2lb is $16.80 and I don't think that think weighs 2 lbs. Let me know if you want one with a pm or sth.

Andy you have a DT-40 scanner and a 15k scanner and a homebuilt scanner, who on gods green earth do you of all people want with a mini spinograph ;D

LOL yeah a mini spyrograph will look like a kids toy, even though it is! :D ;D Once you mod it, it becomes a whole different story!

Yeah i can see him putting a 2watt green in, it might actually melt the housing ;D but the patterns would be cool

yeah i like the patterns more than my XY, simply because the steppers can't do patterns like that, but i like my XY for its high power, and DMX abilities! Those little laser shows with 2W green in it would be stunning, and especially when it melts its own housing! ;D ;D ;D

i only have XY scanners and my DT40's. i sold the 15k scanners.

the reason i want one is to play. i want to see what i can fit in there.

the only one problem is it does not have a mains power input.

im probably gona go for 10mw of 532nm and 40mw of 650nm.

we will see
