Hi everyone, i have been looking into building a relatively "cheap" RGB laser projector for quite a while now and i finally think that i understand how they work enough to build my own. Seeing as how i don't have much money i have come to accept that i will need to buy cheap galvo's off of ebay. I am just wondering what galvo's i should get and if anyone can recomend any galvo's under $200.

so far i have been looking at these.

20,000pps @ 20 degrees for $79.99 + $40 shipping
laser light Galvo scanner system ILDA20K max35k | eBay

30.000pps @ 20 degrees for 179.99 + $50 shipping
30Kpps HightSpeed galvo scanner for laser lighting NEW | eBay

Thanks, any ideas would be appreciated!

The PT-30k from phenixtechnology. Just search pt-30k on google and there you have.

I have them and they are great for beginners.

i hope 200 isn't your totall budget. since you only have one post i will assume you don't know all the other parts needed.

lasers
drivers
optics
optic mounts
show software
power supply...etc

there are some great tutorials in the Laser Show section good luck.

Ps... dont forget to post pics and vids when you are finished =)

lol no $200 is not my total budget, that is just for the galvos. My total budget is more like $700 - $1000 and i am aware of all of the parts required even though it might take me a couple months to collect them all lol

thanks though and hopefully i will eventually be able to upload pics :)

Those shipping prices look ridiculous.

I just got a set of PT-30k's for $214 shipped not to long ago. Though that was with them shipped fairly quickly. I could have saved more by going with EMS or something and waiting 3 weeks.

I got mine from the user 'lasershowlily' here, who is a PT reseller, but you can get them straight from PT for the same price. Shipping will probably run about the same from either since they come from china either way.
