There probably isn't anything that'll automatically trigger a DSLR from the software, and you'd need some special attachment to the camera to trigger it. What you could do is use an intervalometer with your DSLR to automatically take photos at set intervals, and then set the animation software to play at slow framerates so the frames are all captured, even if there are potential repeats.

It might actually look good if you capture two or more of the same animation frames anyway as the laser must draw a frame with a fast-moving laser dot. Using a longer exposure to capture a complete frame may result in an odd appearance, but having multiple frames to capture can give it an interesting sparkly appearance of the drawn laser animation.

For software, you can use LFI to control the show, which is free. LFI works with many DACs, but I don't know what all-in-one laser show hardware it supports.

Ok, narrowing down to the Easylase USB II DAC, coupled with a Reke 500 RGB running Spaghetti. Is there anyone out there using this setup?

Thanks.

seems like it doesnt matter one bit what kind of projector you use, and that projector has been popular lately and should suffice. On the software end, spaghetti should suit your needs. Its very easy to display single frame images with it, and if you have a remote for your DSLR that would probably make life easy.

Im trying to save up for Pangolin Quickshow, I have a soundcard DAC + audiolase correction amp, and a spaghetti license I wouldnt mind getting rid of to get me that much closer to QS. PM me if interested.
