Iv heard a lot of people saying to just not go TTL and go straight to Analog. With TTL you are limited in colors. With Analog you are pretty limit less with the range of colors. With that being said the flexmod p3 drivers support analog modulation. Allegedly they are in stock now and being dispersed and a new shipment should arrive in two weeks.

Yup they are back in stock now, I just got mine a week ago. :D

i actually dont care much about the analog control i guess...the lasers are going to be completely tunable also, so for example if im next to the laser i can be changing the colors during a show...of course if there is no-one next to it that wont happen, but in my case i really just want an rgb projector working...but who knows? maybe ill upgrade it to analog later...

How are your lasers completely tuneable during a show? Some kind of rheostat wired to the outside of the projector case that adjusts the laser's current? At MAX you have the possibility of making 7 colors mixing one intensity of RBG in these combinations:
RED
GREEN
BLUE
RED BLUE
RED GREEN
BLUE GREEN
RED BLUE GREEN
Analog allows the DAC to blend the lasers intensity to create different colors.
Most lasers are only a few dollars more for Analog so save yourself having to completely replace the lasers in the future.

ill have the rheostats (ill call them pots aka potentiometers as its easier to write) that define max current outside the box where everything is enclosed...so if im next to it, i can change the color...
change max current (full on)->change laser power->change total blend color

and everything in my build will be DIY, upgrading to analog is a few dollars more in components and a few more hours soldering...right now im not interested in analog control...only ttl...

EDIT:
Read ur post again...yeah! excatly that, having a pot outside...

Another person who actually has lasers in their projector. I'm missing those all important lasers in mine :p

Nice work Adrian.

Couple more weeks and I'll be getting the green laser (finally) for my projector. :)

Look forward to seeing the quad and how difficult it was to put together.

Just put my order in with dave over at PL for the base for my DT40W's that let me put the screws in from the top.

It will save me taking the entire baseplate out should I need to remove the scan head, and raises the scan block to the correct height for CNI and laserwave modules :)

OK blew 4 LOC Reds. Stupid mistake. Anyways got 4 new lpc826s in. Built testload for 4lpc in parallel. Sorted out my flexmod issues. Fired up the thing. 1A running though those diodes so hopefully what you are seeing is close to 1/2W of red, just not combined yet. Thats a new project, I wanna make sure i know what the F im doing before i attempt to glue those dielectric mirrors. Also these Optima Lenses are bad ass, I dont know why more people around here arent using them. Molded Glass Aspheric Lenses for Laser Diodes -- Optima Precision Inc. pn: 305-0464-780

at 250mA each they will probably only be giving out 150mW MAX, IIRC. So before losses it should look like 600mW? Not even close to 1W?

I may be having a brainfart at the moment, but isn't the ratio mA to mW for these diodes about 2:1?

I have ran these diodes at 501mA flawlessly.
