I would agree a bit with Tech on this one.. it never hurts to help others, especially when they have helped you.

I found rkcstr a manufacturer for his rkcstr drivers, and in return he sent me 10 of them at no charge at all. He could have sold those 10 for $150 or more. That was a truly stand up thing to do, especially when I didn't even ask.

Really, though, it's up to the individual. Just putting in my $.02.

The BST section is the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

I spent almost an hour finding the company, what type of motor it was, and places to get them. I was lucky to find some on ebay. I didnt have to say anything. WTF you cant throw me one for $10? You paid just over $30 for 9. So you'd have 8 for $20. I'd call that a good profit, considering the are almost $20 each. And you would have made a friend in return. Keep your 4RPM used motors. they wont work if you drop the voltage.

You should read my post more clearly. I said that a moving beams would defeat the lumia effect, so Spaghetti will not help the effect.

I bought the motors for me, not for you. If you wanted one you should have bid on them. You're being a jerk for acting like I owe it to you to sell you one at a discount. If you expected someone to buy the motors and then give you a hot deal then you should have said so when you posted the link.

The point of using the lumia wheel with Spaghetti is so that Spaghetti can turn it on and off. Spaghetti can control devices other that projectors. I just spent two months working on it for that very purpose so I have an idea what I am talking about.

I did a$$hole...

Hey I was going to buy these but dont have the money.

HANKSCRAFT SWITCH MACHINE MOTORS FOR HO - eBay (item 370292589027 end time Nov-22-09 16:23:43 PST)

They are the same (pretty sure) motors in that kit. If someone grabs these, could you hook me up with one?

Keep your stupid used motors. You obviously need them more than me. And I wouldn't call $10 a hot deal. WTF man...can you be more of an a$$?

Yes, I can be more of an a$$ but I don't want to tell you what I really think of you on a public forum.

Dave also sent me a present (a ggw lol) for sending him a Windows 7 key. BUT, first of all, I never asked for anything. You helped him, he doesn't want to help you. did he ask for your help? no! can you blame him then? no!

Again...You should read my post more clearly. I wouldnt take one for free AFTER THIS BS.

I'm done arguing with you. Good luck with your sales. I hope they make you happy.

Just so everyone understands, I didn't even ask anyone here one anywhere else about where I could find the motors. I just saw the link he posted and bought them. Then the dude sends me an email asking if I would sell him one cheap as a "finder's fee". That's nonsense. If he went out of his way to personally help me out that would be one thing. But he just tried to get a deal from me. He doesn't know me. I have NEVER even talked to him before. That's simply nonsense. And then when I refused because I don't have time to deal with selling one to him he gets snippy. I am glad I didn't help him. That's all I have to say about it.

And if he wouldn't take one for free then what is the fuss about? Geez.

Sorry..but I have a bad habit of expecting people to considerate and helpful, like most other members here.

I know..I'm an idiot. But that's the way I was brought up. I didnt think offering $10 for a $3.50 motor was asking too much. My bad..you're right. I cant believe how stupid I was.

People who post links or things seem to think they deserve a reward. If you're posting the link, it shows that you would be fine with someone else buying it... if you wanted it yourself, you wouldn't post links to it on the internet, or more importantly, on a forum website with hundreds of potential bidders. Sure, I've posted links to specific green lasers I thought were good for new members, I've PM'd people like Kenom about places to buy a few 1" uranium marbles cheap, I've posted tips about laser building... did I expect a reward? no... did I get a reward? yes, thank you's and + rep. I don't think carman is being unreasonable... like he said, he bought the motors for himself, not for other people. More importantly, it is a hassle to go to package something up and go to the post office and wait on line and mail it out, only to make a few little $? I'm sure carman would rather spend that time relaxing at home.

You guys keep talking like I wanted it for free, or discount. I'm sorry but I dont consider paying a ~200% profit a reward. I simply asked that if the person who bought the motors could help me out. That's why I posted the link. In turn you make a friend, make some money, and hook up the forum with some cool stuff. Win, win. win. Why is this wrong? How is this out of line? Instead you make an enemy, dont help anyone but yourself, and hurt your sales because not everyone is on your side. Some people just cant grasp the concept of good business practices. Or how to making friends.
