Hello i'm new in scanners (sorry if my english is bad i'm dutch)
well how much cost a 15-20k scan set?
Can u make from hdd glavo's? yes? how fast are they then?

I have been beaten to it, but yes laser show parts is the place to be.

I am not sure but I think HDDs may use steppers, just like floppy drives. Unless you just want really simple beam shows, and I mean really simple you do need galvos.

Dave just flogged of some scanners cheap on PL, about $150AU for a 20K set. I think they are all gone now though.
