Hello,

I am about to order a Laser oversea now I am quite new to this.
These are the specs:

R:500mw/650nm,G:200mw/532nm,B:300mw/445nm 40K

What are things that are really important for safety i saw something about a IR filter.

Sorry for my bad english I hope there are people here that can tell me more before I order something that's to dangerous.

Regards,

Fliz

Well those are 3 different lasers of three different colors, but most importantly when using a laser 25mw + you're going to want to have wavelength-specific set of safety goggles, as even the beams reflection could damage your eyes. In addition, check around the forum, there are plenty of safety guideline sticky's and beginners posts.

Is this one of your first lasers or what? If it is i dont recomend you buying something over 100mW atleast.. Safety glases are a must and you must get a pair for the right nm. I recomend these if you are looking for a blue or gren laser. 532nm is green, 445 is blue. If you want a blue or green laser get these

Eagle Pair® 190-540nm Slip Over Laser Safety Goggles

Be careful! You only got two eyes :)

Safety goggles are useless here, you need to use common sense. What is your intended use for this laser? Be aware that in some countries, you'll need a variance before you can use it in public.

Shine it well overhead of any people, and do NOT let it go into their faces under any circumstances, and you'll be safe.
