No experience with Meierlight, but I've seen several very good reviews of DHOM lasers. People report that they are as good as CNI or Viasho..

First off, I am agreeing with EF above.

Secondly, I have bought from them. Items were as described, above spec, packaged well, and quickly shipped.

I presently have a green module (purchased from them) that is going into my lumia projector. I did not specifically measure IR from it, but I measured the output from >25 feet away, so I doubt that IR is much of a factor in the output measured ;)

Also, if you are buying via fleabay, and they have the item listed as "or best offer", they have been known to accept a lower bid (depending on how hungry they are at the time ;) )

I have never had need to test their customer service

Peace,

with "them" you mean meierlight or DHOM directly?
seems good!
although their system to get in contact sucks. both on msn and skype i get crappy replies when asking for IR output. like "please believe us" and "all our product are good quality". a bit dinodirect like if you know what im saying.

i already got a offer of 230 dollar so i guess im going to that laser :)

And since you bought from "them", can you tell if the laser i mentioned is real DHOM by the photos? because i heard meierlight also sells SHENNZEN lasers and CNI lasers.
they did not want to tell the brand of the analog 300mw 532nm.

Your question was about Meierlight. I answered your question.

LOL! You haven't been dealing with Chinese dealers long, have you? Meierlight does not make their lasers. They sell what they can get at the time. Their customer service people do not know the answers to your questions because they are not laser hobbyists nor do they use lasers professionally.

They buy from good manufacturers and re-sell the units. I would also imagine that they will buy from whichever manufacturer is selling for the least at the time they need something. The customer service people do not know which manufacturer they will get your laser from yet ;) When you are dealing directly with a Chinese maker or re-seller, price is the ultimate concern.

You have two users here that appear to be satisfied. Now you get to decide if you are going to take a chance by dealing with a Chinese re-seller. There are much more responsive and knowledgeable re-sellers based in the US and Canada. However, you are going to be paying higher prices because they are the second "middle-man" and because their higher level of customer service is expensive. It costs money to have someone sitting there answering potential customers' questions

Peace,
dave

**EDIT** -- I have bought from them twice. I traded one off. Both units were DHOM. That is NOT a guarantee that yours will be.

agree with dave's idea:
most of Chinese laser dealer in Guandong province don't produce laser by their own. you know, there are many big electronics market in Shenzhen, a city of Guangdong. they share their product sources. some customer service persons like me are not very familiar with lasers because in China those who know laser don't speak very fluent english while those who speaks good english may know nothing about laser.
by the way, some time-honored dealer has good product quality.

If you buy it from meierlight, please tell us about the quality. I need to buy a 300mW 532nm soon, and it would be great to save $220.
