Ive been pondering for a while now whether i should get the arctic (better divergence) or the spartan (cheaper and with higher output) but then i stumbled upon something very interesting:

i found two stores with some info about the laser:
1000mW 447nm Waterproof Adjust Focus Blue Laser Pointer Pen(1 x 18650 Battery) - DinoDirect.com
or
www.rayfoss.com

on youtube:
YouTube - 1000mW 447nm Waterproof Adjust Focus Blue Laser Pointer Pen(1 x 18650 Battery) from Dinodirect.com

Specifications:
Output Type:Adjust focus, continuous output and working time is longer than ordinary laser pen

I'm really skeptic about the credibility of the laser's specs (mainly because it sounds WAY too good to be true) and the reliability of the stores.. so tell me if you have any experience with them.
I would appreciate any of your personal experience opinions with this laser, and some measurements of the divergence and output power if possible.
If the specs are correct, this laser should be far superior to both the arctic and the 1W Spartan, so i think its really worth checking out...

All of the 445nm laser pointers will have the same beam specs unless it clearly states the it uses corrective optics (none do as far as I know). They will also all have about the same power (the diodes are at least capable of the same power). A focusable one would be nice, however I usually don't buy water proof lasers because it means another optical component between the diode and the output (another piece to get dirty, and another piece to clean).

Just go with the one being sold in the best section for $180. It is better quality and people are quite happy with them.

I would buy the Spartan over the Arctic, if you will do some searching and reading will will find a lot of valuble information.
If you decide to buy from Dino Direct and you look on the forum you will find a coupon code for 20% off. Rayfoss is also a reputable seller or you could just buy one from one of the members. What ever you decide make sure to get some laser safety glasses to go with your laser.

thanks for your reply.
the main question here is if the specs are real, because for some reason i don't feel i can trust them. no one ever reviewed this laser and there is no information about it except the stores' info...

and if everything turns out to be ok and ill find that the laser is lacking in power ill drill the outer lens out if ill have to.... :yh:
