It can be used for that. I've bought a few of them just because they come with some nice stuff for a decent price. The lenses are probably not good for the wavelengths you'd be using (it's for IR), but the motor is quite good for liquid sky or something.

The pin-out to control the motor:

- Pin 1 = V+ (18V-24V)
- Pin 2 = GND
- Pin 3 and 4 = Active-low power enable. Threshold of 1.4V.

Thanks Badger
Is it better to FS mirrors with Enhanced Aluminium Coating or without?

Thanks BB, I have had one of these for years, tho a different model and very old
I think kiyoukan has one and was trying to get it running, I will at least (If I don't buy another myself next discount session) tell him about you sharing the pin-outs.

Thanks Badger

Yes I would guess so! but don't ask me what they exactly mean by that, some of the stuff they don't even know themselves there and it is people like us that tell them what they are selling that they appreciate.
I really don't recall them saying what the transmission / reflection ratio is on a lot of similar items on the site, for a mirror you would want to look for a high reflection ratio.
Lets look this one up!:
After 3 pages it appears that an enhancement means there is a dielectric coating applied to the mirror that protects the mirror coating and increases the reflectivity. I wonder if this makes them harder to keep clean, like the coating may rub off. On my 3rd page I see a chart that shows that an enhancement increases the reflectivity but centers it upon the visible wavelengths.
3rd page I looked at:

Got my mirrors a couple of days ago. Shipped priority flat rate box.

Mirrors are superior quality. Spotless aluminum coating, and heavy glass. Perfect for a projector. You could even cut them in 6 for small projects. I highly recommend them if you're looking for some good cheap mirrors. Even at full price they cant be beat for the money.
