The above is the iPhone app. It helps you assign a DMX address to a laser.
Lets say you have four lasers. The Reke uses 12 DMX channels, so it means the next laser in DMX universe should start at 13. In the application above, you simply type number 13 and the DIP switches automatically show you how to set them up visually.


And yes, there are many apps available to control DMX devices wirelessly with an iPhone or iPad, even without a computer.
You need:
#1: iPhone app control software (Luminair or such)
#2: Wireless router
#3: Dmx over Ethernet device (Enttec ODE or such)

Did you pay the new $353.39 price @ Lasersman? He shut the old ad down yesterday and changed availability to "Out of Stock". Then he just opened up 12hrs later with the new price. If you paid the old price $247.33, I sure hope he honors that, good luck.

I paid $211 with trackable shipping and they took down the add a couple days after i ordered it.. does anyone know where they are located? or where the laser ships from

Looking like those who took advantage of the 209$ sale price got 'lucky' .
I showed mine off at TEXLEM and none thought it was a bad deal.

Six who saw it being used with Pangolin wanted to get a Reke 500RGB and some wanted to get the QS too after they saw using mine how both easy and cool that SW is. One who wanted to get a few owns a Lasershow Company and another owns a many K$ Kvant PJ and also does professional shows.
I have sent an Email to Lasersman about organizing a laserforum GB.. I doubt we will get the same free shipping and the $209 price but I am trying for that anyway.

I have made it clear that we want these ONLY if the are of the same quality as the one I got. The old, now gone, listing stated IIRC that it has 10K scanners(which BTW may be closer to 15K according to the Pros at TEXLEM who checked mine out.) This new listing(at a very large increase in price) states it has 5K. Lasersman could sure use an employee fluent in English- thier site needs a lot of editing. There is a paragraph that would only apply to a battery operated handheld for instance. States a duty rest of 30 seconds on and off- I ran my Reke for several hours at a time at TEXLEM w/np.

I have started a list for a Reke R500RGB for ten pjs and 6 are already spoken for(assuming a price not too much higher) I have both Chuck(Houston)at AixiZ and Gray(China) at JETLASERS looking into this in our behalf. Any potential risks involved will be shared by ALL. PP is def off the table. We will need to pay via bank transfer or credit card. My plan is to reship only to CONUS and Canada.

ps you should expect to get bored the first day or so w/o some kind of lasershow SW.
I recommend QS FB3 2.0 highly. I can arrange for the lowest regular USA dealer pricing with 3/4 biz day delivery to CONUS. PM me for info.

btw anyone serious about QS should start learning NOW thru the super tutorials on QS at the Pangolin site-- waiting until you have a pj and the QS will only delay your learning curve. I regret not doing this a year or more ago.

Haha I noticed that paragraph.. Mine is also coming with the 5k scanner. I want to upgrading it to a 15k or a 20k and is it worth it? And also was thinking about the QS because the other SW systems look harder to use and they dont work with windows 7.

Also how long did it take for the laser to get to you after shipping?

my QS & reke works just fine with Win 7.
I saw on the site that tracking was free so I did not pay the extra 2$ And the tracking was fine. It arrived to me in Tx in 12 days.

If your other rigs have DMX you will be able to control them with the QS and the Enttec DMX (~140.$usd). as well as strobes- foggers- and any other DMX lights. up to 512 of them. see the last chapter of the QS tuts.

also I think your should have the same scanners as mine-- which IIRC were said to be 10Kpps- The guys at TEXLEM said they thought that they may actually be 15 K and I have scraped all plans to upgrade the scannerset and/or the lasers. I am in the process of building a 2+W rgb analog that will have 40K scanners for my main PJ and the reke will then be used as it came for a satilite pj--only regret was not ordering more than just one.
It would not IMO make any imo sense to mod it and way more work that most expect.

Building another with the parts makes more sense to me, even if it is just one or two colors.

Oh. Mine arrived (if you look at my post dates) in exactly 8 days from when i ordered it. And it came from San Francisco. DD may have a warehouse there. :tinfoil:

Lasermans customer service is kinda ridiculous. I had to send them alot of emails just to get a strait answer,, ive been asking them when (date) and if my reke shipped and for the tracking number, they replied back with really vague answers saying that my they have been preparing my order after the status says complete .. then they reply saying they sent all of the info and check my spam folder cuz it might be in there ( i dont have a spam filter on my email).. i had to ask them a total of 4 times to get the info.. i dont know if its the language barrier , cuz i noticed the chinglish accent in the email. then they offered a coupon code for 10.6%off with no code haha ,, did anyone else had issues like this?

At this point I think , IMO, we can forget Lasersman/DD.
Unless they find another pallet of them at the SF warehouse.

My only regret is that I like the one they sent and the 12 day tracked free shipping was great but I only ordered one.

. Hopefully we will find another source but it remains to be seen if all will go as well as my deal did with Lasersman. The atypical QS for many china-made products is non-existant. They ship out everything and let the poor buyer discover if it passes Quality Control. A red flag, to me, is that clause where the buyer must pay for all or part of the return of defective items. Its not brain science or rocket surgery..
you plug it in, let it run thru a few of the built-in stuff and reject the ones that dont work or look bad. its quite possibe that a chimp could be trained to do the job.

If I can find a source be sure I will ask our friend Gray of JETL to give them a call and ask the proper questions. Otherwise its a crap-shoot.

AND if we cannot get these in a bulk order that will equal or beat the prices we have seen lately we would be better off ordering them one at a time.

I welcome ANYONE to do a GB on these, i am not in love with the idea. too many unknowns.

source in China tells me that YourLasers is just selling for DX much likr Lasersman did for DinoDirect- they no less than nothing about PJs or testing them before shipping- we should all keep that in mind and understand fully the risks involved-- declaring them at $30 'lights' will not always get by.

If anyone still wants to take the risk PM me and I may be able to get a promo code created for us and get REKEK 500RGBs at a price close to the target of 210$
