Well I found a tad bit of info on them, they can rage from 12x to 18x. So for 19 bucks that sounds great.

[sarcastic humor]Sure does, almost as good as SenKat's GB[/sarcastic humor]

Sorry D A, sometimes I can't help myself. But in all seriousness if you're wanting some optics, and good motors to play with too you can't go wrong with a good ole DVD burner harvest.
Great Find!!

The shipping cost is $7.33, for $27.32 not known exactaly what your getting I wouldn't take the risk.
I just order the Pioneer DVR-112D from eWiz for $33.64 to use in my Dorcy CR123, from what I hear the diode is one of the most powerful one. VaThink from CPF was able to drive the diode to 397mW with 700mA.

Hmmm. Interesting. Was that $33.64 including shipping? Also do you know for sure whether or not the LD in that Burner is open or closed can?

Yeah open can diodes I hear are really nice burners. Haven't worked up the courage to harvest the one out of my 20X Liteon. :)
