I haven't received tracking info but Kiyo said he would ship mine on Monday. So hopefully it's on it's way. Haha

Are you referring to the galvos and amps as "projector" ? If not, I would still like to get a hold of those. If so, oh well!!

Re: Laser fire sale Large images

Projector arrived today! Quite quick, I must say, considering where I live.
I'll attach a pic of it working in a second. It looks like that because it's projecting on to a red-painted wall in a fairly bright room. Also it's only ~1m from the wall.

After battling with LPF's ass-backwards JPEG requirements, there you have it. The image is rotated 90 degrees in order to fit in the 600-pixel height requirement. In protest, the image is compressed to 0% quality.

Don't blame the board for your inept cropping and resizing ability. It's not hard: pick the largest dimension and scale that proportionally using any number of tools (Photoshop, Irfanview, Imagemagick, etc.). 800x600 is perfect for all images that should be posted on the board. Anything more means you haven't done a proper cropping/resizing job.

I'm with MoonShadow.

I've never understood why I can post a 640x480 photo, but not a 480x640 one.

The actual implication is that the same photo will upload fine if shot in landscape, but not in portrait, even though the pixel dimensions and bit sizes are identical.

In what world is a 480x640 portrait orientation photo not appropriate for upload?

It's not that I can't resize a photo to fit a certain restriction; any moron can do that. It's that I have to at all. Surely storage space is not at such a premium on LPF's servers that users would fill it up with high-res pictures. I strongly disagree with the poorly-implemented 800x600 limitation because it's not 1999 any more.

Anyway, the point was that I got the projector and it's in working condition.

Ah, finally got it in the mail =p Thanks mate.

But what the frak...? The batteries don't even fit in the battery charger.... Why would you even sell these if the chargers and the batteries don't work together? -.-
