There are a *ton* of coupon codes for DD right now. I was going to order from them anyway, so I went down the list until I found one that applied to my order value. Had an order last night of just over $100 that I got $20 off, and an order a few moments ago for just over $50 that I found a code for $10 off.

This is probably decent advice in general when purchasing from Chinese websites. Always google "SITENAME coupon" before you checkout, just to see if there's a coupon code!

Unfortunately, they seem to have removed free shipping on the most popular items and their shipping is way mooore expensive then it actually costs them.. I don't think UPS takes $2650 in shipping for a R/C helicopter to Sweden when DHL takes $20.

Holy crap that's ridiculous!

I think that must be a site error or something. Nobody would pay $2650 for shipping a $20 item! When I used the coupon codes, they didn't negate/invalidate the free shipping. I got the "discounted price" listed on the site (which we all know is just the regular price with an arbitrary fake "discount" percentage applied), and the coupon discount from RetailMeNot, and free shipping (to Canada).

I contacted them and that was apparently their shipping rate for that specific item.. And yes, most of their prices are hogus bogus. They have a ordinary 5mW red laser priced at $14 and a 92% discount is supposedly already applied.. And the time left for that price was two days yesterday and three today.
