John Wesley Hardin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

John Wesley Hardin (May 26, 1853 – August 19, 1895) was an American Old
West outlaw, .... While there, he claimed he shot a man's eye out to win a bottle of
whiskey in a bet. :16 Hardin also claimed .... The incident earned Hardin a
reputation as a man "so mean, he once shot a man for snoring".

Hardin was shot to death in El Paso on August 19, 1895, by a man he had hired to kill someone else. He supposedly killed over 30 men, including the one for snoring, in only 10 years of his career of crime, from age 15 to 25. :wtf:

Yup Hakzaw, Pi, It was only a matter of time till you got it. I still can't get those Time/Life book and cassette series TV ads from the early 90's out of my head. "He was so mean he once shot a man for snoring!!!" Hardin was pure evil:eek: as now I remember seeing documentarys on wildwest outlaws. They all were but Hardin was never glamorized ridiculesly like Billy the kid. Correct me if i'm wrong but these men shot people in the back right? Not like the classic draw and shoot we see in holywood:shhh:

Wow am I getting old, I didn't realize it was from 1980's.:(
Do we really know are neighbors? I think I do!? Makes me wonder:undecided:
Did everyone carry a pistol back in the old west like they make it look?
Little Edit: Since this thread went a little of topic and sorry Pman but its all in fun! How many shots does the "Rifleman" shoot in the opening credit? I have my count in my head but 1 might be a ricochet sound.
