Found this listing while browsing eBay this evening for Tesla coil parts. This is nice size lot of caps and may be interesting to see how the bidding goes.

Those are great, but 75 vDC is kind of low. Not particularly useful for much except maybe low voltage filtering.

What about creating a capacitor bank and then destroy stuff with it ? :devil:

I have two RIFA caps rated at 400 vDC, with 3300 uF of capacitance... just 4 of them would equal the same power as these capacitors.

Higher voltage = more current flow = high pulse current = better electromagnetic projects like coilguns, disc launchers, etc

^Coil guns are easy to make. Just get a Puck SCR a bunch if caps, some wire a non metallic tube and that's basically it. :)

Yeah, after buying some of those 2600F supercaps @ 2.5V (8125J), the farad rating on those other caps just looks so small. I haven't found much use for them yet though.
