Technically $110 with shipping but a steal for brand new Melles Griot 543.5nm tubes.

I spoke to Chad with mi-lasers and asked if it was ok that I share this deal. They have them for sale for $195+10 shipping but he will accept offers of $100 which is nearly half the original price. Great deal if you want to collect a new wavelength and its a nice bare tube for plasma viewing pleasure! :D

Did they give a time frame for these? I just bought another green hene. But I'd love to get one this long for that price, WOW! Just want to wait about a week or so for funds.

I guess I see her point, since I've blown though more then $500.00 in just the past week on lasers and accessories. :p

Welcome to the party. I think we're helping the economy more than anyone else!

Question for anyone that seen this wavelength in Person. How different in color is 543.5nm to 532nm when they are side by side.?

A lot. Really. 543.5 is a 'lime green' while 532 is a 'deep green'. After seeing 543.5 (Which is brighter to the eye than even 532, per mW) - 532 looks almost blue-green.

For $100 (!) , I think everyone here should get one, even if you don't know how to power it quite yet. You will later, and you won't regret it.

If I didn't have like eight 543.5 HeNe's, i'd be picking up two of these tonight... (Still may...)

Now, if only MI did OBO on their 594 HeNe's......

Welcome to the party. I think we're helping the economy more than anyone else!

And of course other members here. :)

I"m hoping this seller continues to sell this things. I want one, but it's going to have to wait for awhile. I've mostly got my rainbow of handhelds on the way, with a couple of more rare exceptions, so it's on to either labs or gases next.

I got a 594 hene today 1.3mw beautiful. I'll post pics later.

I got my other green hene today also, it's polarized but only .3mw. Still it's beautiful, I'm looking forward to seeing what a 19+" tube and 2mw green looks like. And you are right, it does look really lime green in person.

Good luck.

Well, just another verification of price. I got it for $100.00 plus shipping.

Add another green hene to my collection.

Thats a steal for the price. Lots of people have said that on here, but I haven't seen anyone actually jump on it.

So, I did.

I nociced something about the greens and yellow. I don't know why, but the center glass tube appears frosted. On my reds it is crystal clear. Hmm. Anyone know why they do that?

Top is yellow hene - frosted (diffused)
Middle is red - clear center
Bottom is green hene - frosted (diffused)

I noticed the new one I just bought on this thread is frosted also (in the pictures)
