Problem is that C-mount emits a huge rectangle, you need some different lenses to get it to a squarish beam with pretty bad specs.

If only it was regular open-can :eek: too bad the c-mount wouldn't be optimal as a pointer without insane optics and it would loose lots of power in the process.

It has an adjustable focus but because the c-mount is multimode you can't fix the specs too well. From memory I think the reason why is because the emitting area on the C-mount is so large, I'm not sure about that though.

No, it'd be like trying to focus a flashlight. The emitter area is too large.

I would think that a larger beam would make it have less divergence, like beam expander? :-?
Also, isn't the light is coherent right. I mean it's a laser of course.
