Yep i asked him how he knows the information he put on th listing. But i forgot to ask him how he knows its 638nm.
I did tell him thought that iam a laser enthusiast and i know my stuff as well as that i have a meter and will be testing if it is really a 638nm diode.
I dint buy my diode from him but iam pretty 100% sure they are all the same sellers.

Well I'm in deep, I ordered just about every diode he has listed (including the 600mW 5.6mm 650nm, wonder if that came from a "machine" too

It's pretty common knowledge where the blue diodes come from, it would make a likely excuse for these diodes as well.
Either way, I won't cancel my order. I'll let you all know what I get, and if it goes sour I'll file a claim through paypal. If paypal screws me, which they probably will, I go round paypal and go straight to my CC company.
Now I need a LPM to test the buggers... Should have finished my homemade one a while ago.

I have a LPM but not a spectrometer. I will send my build out to someone to test if the diode turns out to be what it looks to be.

Who Knows but iam going to try and get it out of them for sure.!!!
If he beats around the bush with saying what they are or he doesn't know. He might be on to something that not many suppliers know about and he won't say what he has due him wanting to protect his profits. Still I wouldn't expect a miracle.

I'll chime in here, at least as far as the seller "buyhubforu" goes -
I've purchased eight (8) 12x sleds from him in the last 8 months. All eight arrived in great (brand new) condition, and worked well. They took the 550mA excessive (for a 12x) current I fed them, and LPM'd well.
Shipping was slow, but the items arrived. Average for China packages - perhaps 20% longer / slower.

Well, in best hopes I hope this is real. 120mw? Seems a bit unreal, but anything above what we have available for cheap (20mw IIRC) would be great, especially at the price they're offering them.

The diodes I ordered from Esellstation and buyhubforu have been marked as shipped. The diodes from e_station have not been marked though, go figure!

Mr. qumefox and myself have equipment to test these thoroughly if anyone wants to donate. I would have bought a few, but I exhausted my tech budget with another purchase recently.
