Hello guys! =)

I've been looking for a green laserpointer (50mW or 100mW) on dealextreme for quite a while now.

and these are my "finalists" so far:

$33.80 - SD-301 Focusable 100mW 532nm Green Laser Pen Pointer with Battery Set (1*18650) - Green Lasers

$36.70 - SD-306 100mW 532nm Green Laser Pen Pointer with Charger (1 x 18650) - Green Lasers

$31.80 - SD-305 100mW 532nm Green Laser Pen Pointer with Strap (1*CR123A) - Green Lasers

ya... something like those.

I don't want to buy the stronger ones as I don't really want to use them to burn stuff, just to have a strong green beam, tough I want a focusable strong one, to have thicker or thinner beams in the night :)
Maybe I'll use the ability to burn something the one or the other time, but not that often that I need a 1W monster :p

Has anyone of you guys bought a similar model? and if so, please tell me the batteries you're using for yours, I was thinking of buying those (if 18650 size is needed for example)
$9.57 - TrustFire Protected 18650 3.7V True 2400mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (2-Pack) - Batteries
(and probably the charger you use for your batteries aswell)
please answer me as fast as possible, I really want to order one before I go on holidays, so that I can use it right when I come back home :)

So I'd be really thankful to those that help me to decide for one of those lasers or an alternative in the same strenght/price class so you have a new member in the community
~thanks in advantage! cheers!

oh and: price range should be around 30$ :p (laserpointer only)

deal extreme lasers are usually underspec. so the lasers arne't really going to be 100mw.. but thell still be plenty visible. check out o-like.com if you want up to spec lasers. out of the 3 of your choices i like the look of the last one in my opinion:)

first of all thank you for answering! :)

New cute pocket Green laser 50mW /adjustable [OLCGL50] - $34.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

so far this is my favorite one, looks cute :D

So this is really 50mW of green light? :) (and with anjustable, they mean focusable, right?)
Seems solid and of good build quality, better than those from dealextreme for the same price...

About the batteries: which batteries would you recommend me for this? I'd like recharchable ones that don't die after 10 times charging tough, so they can be of a bit better build quality, but not doo good! :D (price xD) and of course a charger for them.

oh and one more thing: can I trust this site? It doesn't seem THAT professional to me yet..... And what about the shipping?

sorry.... I have soo many questions.... :) Bought a laserpointer pen last year but I've been playing too much with it and it broke :,( that's why I want to make a nice decision because I will need to wait long until it's shipped and I'm SO impatient! :D

I am pretty sure I am going to order one of these two, I'd just need some good review of somebody (if possible) :D

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/sd-306-100mw-532nm-green-laser-pen-pointer-with-charger-1-x-18650-57544 OR http://www.dealextreme.com/p/sd-306-50mw-532nm-green-laser-pen-pointer-with-charger-1-x-18650-57543 in case the "stronger" one is overrated.

Rule number one - Use the search button :tinfoil:

Really, look into the relevant section, read the stikies...

I´m sure you´re gonna find many, if not all, answers to your questions ;)

that's why I made a new thread :p

My problem is just that I can't decide between those lasers and I need some kind of advise, I am sure that someone bought one of those I've listed in my previous post, so they know wether they're good or not.

The O-Like one is a good choice. You can also take the battery and charger they offer. If you choose "Fast shipping service" with DHL for +$15 you get it a way quicker.

Overall you´re looking for about $60 with the quick shipping method.

But honestly, I can fully recommend you this one here:
Green Laser Pointer Pen 532nm 80mw, Europe - DinoDirect.com

+

2 Li-ion 10440 AAA 3.7V 600mAh rechargeable battery | eBay

+

AA AAA 14500 18650 9v 123A 10440 battery EUR charger S1 | eBay

+

Dummy battery AAA size x4 | eBay

And you´re going to be totally happy.

The 80mW laser has >80mW, I even ended with one of these with >200mW. The Li_Ion battery and the dummy cell save you buying new 1.5V AAA every time and you´ll also get more output with this combination.

hello, thanks for answering :)
Can you also recommend any other laserpointer with the "click on / off" -switch? :D
I don't like to hold the button, I always get the feeling like it's going to break soon then. I don't press strong of course but it just doesn't feel well for me.
oh and it should be focusable aswell...

wow that one looks really nice to me! thanks!
Well, I think I've finally found something :) (or the o-like one)

now just about the batteries, are those CR123 batteries or what is this?
I need rechargable ones, can I get good ones from dealextreme?

And as it's around 200mW, is it pot modded or so? I'd like to keep it for more than a month :p

(sorry sometimes I can be really annoying with the questions xD)

Not pot modded, just a higher powered module.

The DX CR123 batts are fine, otherwise go with lighthound for some higher quality ones.

Please do more forum research, don´t be lazy.

Hope you also buy some goggles. 200mW can blind you instantly.

After some time of thinking I came to the conclusion that I am going for the o-like one. I trust them the most about the build quality, they seem to have a very good reputation regarding on the specs in the description and in reality.

Thanks for all your help guys!

and about the goggles, yes, I already have some that filter IR light and green light, can't remember the wavelenghts but I got the ones I need :) (already bought them with the first laser).

Let's just see if I can really trust o-like, it's really hard to make me trust someone in the internet.... As always, hoping for the best..... *fingers crossed* (also because of customs :D)

Which one? I don´t know common goggles filtering both, green and IR. Yes they exist, but don´t believe that you purchased them with your first laser

Anyway, as I told before, the O-Like one is a good decision :)

$54.40 - Green Lasers Protective Safety Goggles (Blocks 150nm~540nm) - Professional Tools
sorry, I made a mistake, no IR protection! my bad

hope they're at least worth the money!

I don't light that much at home anyway, I mostly used the laser outside, just bought them for use at home in case I hit some metal or so, still too young to lose my eyelight...

If you're curious, I had the 50mW green pen from dealextreme, I wrecked it by myself last year, I wanted to try to pot mod it and accidentally pulled out the diode pins xD (stupid story... already had to open that thing several times because of the poor button)

First of all sorry for the double post!

please take a look at this... I am afraid of forgetting something before I order it :

New cute pocket Green laser 50mW /adjustable [OLCGL50] - $34.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

CR123A Charger with battery [OLCH] - $7.00 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

European converter /adapter [OLED] - $1.50 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

Am I missing something there? I just don't want to order it and when I recieve the package I miss something important...no matter wether it costs 1 or 100 $, it sux to wait 1 month again until I am able to use the laser that I'm holding in the hands :p
