I bought this laser
$23.86 New Keychain Green Beam Laser Pointer Pen Flashlight 30mW/50mW - BudgetGadgets.com
I know I took a gamble buying from Budget Gadgets but I got the laser and it worked fine blindingly bright by the way. But I dropped it one day and now when I go to turn it on it doesn't want to come on I have to hit it in my had to get it to come on. I think that something is loose like the module is not making contact with the case some how I have not tried to take it apart for fear of breaking it but I wan to fix it. Any suggestions?

Thank,
Justin

Do you see a faint, red glow from the aperture? If yes, the crystals are misaligned, and you now have an IR laser.

Whatever is wrong with it, it's probably easier to just buy a new one, sorry.

If the cells rattle now, You may have just damaged the battery connections. Use the KISS method on this.

Ok looks like I fixed it I ground the head of a nail down and pushed out the green module. Once I had it out I hooked it up to make sure it works and it did then I pushed it back into the host with a flat head screwdriver the module is just a press fit in the host so now it make a good connection and turns on right away every time. And just curious what is the KISS method?

KISS -- Keep it simple stupid !!!! That's what you did. Look at the easy stuff first before you do damage to something not broke.
Congrats!!

KISS

If the machine stops working, check to see if it is still plugged in before you order a new $400 framistan.

I used the KISS method and didnt even know it I know the spring was connected because it was not loose and I checked continuity on the tail switch it worked fine so the only other possible problem could be the case positive connection to the green module and I fixed that :san:
