i don't want a dangerous 30mw labeled as 5mw nor i want a 2mW ...
for example at laserglow is it really necessary to pay extra 10$ to have a "certified" 4-5mW ?
He wants a pointer that does NOT go over its advertised output. For example if he buys a 5mW greenie, he wants it to stay at 5mW, not at 30mW (like some from DX do).
styropyro had some low powered pointers for sale long ago, maybe he still has one.
I have a WL Core, it's so on the money you could almost use it to check calibration of a LPM, it's 5 mW . I doubt you will ever need anything more accurate. -Glenn
i want "true" 5mw... not 3mw or 30mW
the question is:
if i buy a modern <5mW (with APC) is there a risk i get a 3mW ?
in particular, at laserglow there are two prices: one for 3-4mW and one for 4-5mW
is it serious or is it only a marketing trick ?
It's probably not a marketing trick, as laserglow is one of the most highly trusted sites on this forum. Why do you care if it's 1mW under in power? You wouldn't be able to see any difference in brightness whatsoever.
For safety , run away of laser pointer , 1 - 5mW is not good for children too .
CDROM has a warning already , i remember the laser head is 1 - 2mW only .
People got mad at me last time for "advertising" but I actually sell 5mW green on eBay for about $12. You can check out my page if you want more info. But if you are worried about danger I'd stay away from green altogether they still are dangerous at 5mW. Or get yourself a pair of safety goggles/glasses.
