Want to get a Laser i can see the beam with during the day. Currently got a 5mw from Beamshot and am quite happy with it since i got it for free. What is a good one i can buy where the beam will be fairly easy to see in a dim room during the day. Need the shipping to be kinda fast. Wanted to buy from Optotronics but they don't accept paypal and I do not have a gift card. If anyone has a optotronics laser i can buy off them hit me up.

Hap has a 2.6 watt 532nm lab laser from them for sale now. It is a steal at $700.00. Other than that, your best bet is a 520nm laser with an NDG7475 diode in it. It will output over 1 watt even with multi-element lenses. There are several companies selling them. Some more expensive than others. But getting one quickly is not going to be easy or cheap.

That's a bit overkill Paul ! 5mW to 2.6W would be an insane jump. That much 532nm is stupidly bright, even forgetting the safety issues for a moment.

Would probably be happy with a 301/303 for now by the sounds of things... Or maybe something higher quality from JL or DL. (Jet Lasers or Dragon Lasers). Sanwu could be an option too for something quality.

That isn't a 5 mW laser. It is a way overpriced DPSS laser that might put out 100 mW at best. These can be had on eBay all day long for under $20.00. I build all my lasers so I am not the person to ask about people selling them mass produced for retail sales. I would look for a 520nm laser diode one as that might be your best bet. I got a laser for review from laserpointerstore.com and it was well built and their prices seemed to be less than other retailers. Sanwu is popular here, but are expensive IMO.

Look at the link, diachi. It isn't a 5 mW laser at all. Just a way over priced similar to a 303. I was thinking of green lasers for sale here when he asked me about them.

Christ, that is expensive.

Something from Jet Lasers definitely seems like a good option, probably one of the PL-E options, I quite like the look of the PL-E Mini series personally. Available in 520 and 532.

May be one of those for sale in the B/S/T section, or something similar.

Yeah, that isn't a 5 mW laser he got. It is a way overpriced pointer similar to a 303. I mentioned the laser Hap has for sale when he asked me about that. But I'm sure he is looking for something more than a 303 since he already seems to have one like it.

No real 532nm DPSS laser that is 5 mW would cost anywhere near the $275.00 that this thing cost. It is most likely similar to a 303 laser which are usually below 100 mW and can be had all day long on eBay for under $20.00. There are websites that make claims that any person who works with lasers knows is pure BS. They use language that implies these are somehow connected with the military to get unsuspecting people to buy their overpriced garbage. If you could get a refund somehow, that would be my opinion. But, it is probably visible in darkness and more so when looking at the beam coming at you or away from you. It is probably every bit as good as a 303. Also, if you look on eBay, see 301s too. You paid about $255.00 more than it is worth at the very least. Sorry.

The GreenBeam 100 is not a 303. I have never seen that host before! Seems way over priced!

Paul, I'm keeping that 532 after all. But yes, it's stupidly bright :)

I know. He asked me if I knew of any members selling lasers, and you came to mind. That was before you posted that you were keeping the lab 532nm. I had already looked at the link he had to the laser he got and I knew it was not a 5 mW. I'm sorry if my telling him about the laser you had for sale somehow seems offensive to you. :yabbem:

I know the host is not the same as the 303 or the 301, but I'll bet you the module is pretty much the same. Did you look at the other items they were selling? A 532nm laser sight for $525.00!!!

Not at all Paul, if anything, that was quite nice of you. Free advertising :eg: thanks haha.

I got it for free lol. I know a guy and get a bunch of stuff for free. This beam is barely visible at night.
