cool so all i have to do is unscrew the module out of my DX and i can port it to a new host?

also whats a good tool to use? what i was thinking like the back end of a pair of tweezers? good or bad?

i dont recommendet it for you buddy, as you will unscrewed only driver with a diode in its host... lens part will still stay in body... on the other hand i doubt that you will do this without destroing a pins on the diode..
if you want to use only module in some new housing, than you can destroy this host, which mean that you can use pliers, and whatever you want, because i can tell you that this technique on the video above is fake... notice that there was any button... it was dissasembled already and than he show how it could be possible to do, but it is not worth...
and why do you want to put this module into new house???? it is great host for 5mw laser...

I tend to disassemble mine whenever I break one, or one gives out.

Eventually, I guess I'll have a drawer full of diode retainers and crystals. ::)
