put one 10440 and a spacer in it, that will give you 3.6V instead of 3V so you might get more power :)

actually my 10440 read 4.2 volts each at a full charge and may damage his unit :-?

Never underestimate the damage from over high voltage. LaserGlow will void the warranty of the units if you put in 3.6 V where 3.0 V is the proper battery, and they have the resources to try out things, as well as get items sent back burnt out! :eek:

As Diachi said, try 1 x 10440 and a spacer. I had a 5mW green 2 x AAA laser pen that would barely lase properly even off 2 fresh AAA's. Out of frustration with this laser, I one day put in 1 x 10440 and a spacer. The result (in this case, can't say for any other green pen) was awesome. No overheating or instability, no mode hopping, just a piercing green beam much brighter than before. Don't know what the actual power increase was, i didn't own an LPM back then, but it was a visually impressive change. I then gave the laser away to a friend.

Do not put in 2 x 10440, if you do, you will fry the driver board, diode, or both, maybe even cook the crystals as a bonus.

what if you put in a stronger IR diode and upped the current or replaced the driver with say a rckstr?

1.5 + 1.5 = 4.5 for extremely large values of 1.5 :D

Can't argue with that math. :D

Over powering a laser like that will cook the driver board as it trys to drop the current and voltage to a level the diode can handle. Once it fails the diode is fried, and maybe the MCA too. :p

3.6v will be ok just limit the duty cycle.
