Re: Techlaser Infiniti 95mW

I wouldn't bother with any infinities from Techlaser go to www.novalasers.com theyll sell you the very same models but with power readings and a nicer case. ;)

Re: Techlaser Infiniti 95mW

it is the exact same laser, and an X-105 would promise more power, X-105s are great for burning. an X-85 is still likely to be at least 90-95mW. also, if you use the code "warp5" at the checkout, you'll get a 5% discount from nova :)

Beam visible on daylight? Might start thinking about higher powers that 95mW.
Burning power? Get a red one, there you get cheapest burning power (except for IR).

Re: Techlaser Infiniti 95mW

i would personally say nova is the best choice. i don't trust wicked lasers or tech lasers for various reasons, and dragon lasers seem a bit on the pricey side compared to nova (dragon also sell the exact same lasers as the nova x-series and the TL infiniti), but that's just my personal opinion.

as for whether the nova X-85 is the same as the techlasers infiniti 95 or not, the X-85 might be a few mW lower than 95mW, or might be 95mW, if you email nova you may be able to ask for them to pick you out a 95mW+ X-85. really though i'd recommend you spend a little more and get the X-105, you're guaranteed at least 105mW and many people have gotten between 112mW and 122mW X-105s, it's definitely the best choice for burning without being a silly price like the X-125.

basically, the manufacturer who makes the nova X-series, dragon lasers viper, etc etc, CNI, will sell a load of lasers to a retailer like nova, and all these lasers are different powers, in quite a random fashion. each retailer puts lasers into their own categories, so a CNI doing say, 88 or 96mW would be sold by nova as an X-85, one doing 52mW would be sold as an X-45, one doing 116mW would be sold as an X-105, etc etc. ones above 125mW are very rare, so they're more often out of stock, and the rarity is also why an X-125 is so much more expensive than an X-105. i hope all that makes sense? and your questions aren't stupid at all :)

Re: Techlaser Infiniti 95mW

Thanks again :)

i think that i made my decision and i will buy NOVA X105 and choose TNT to deliver it to FINLAND.
it cost about 166euros. (included shipping)

is that good choice for my first high powered laser with cheap price?
Do i need some safety equipments? Goggles or something IF I DONT look the top of laser?

Thanks! And the discount code is warp5? is there more discount codes? :p

You will be very happy with the X105. It is what I have and I love it.

For goggles, most people recommend the WL lasershades. I have those too.

I suggest you read through the safety section of this forum. Mostly using common sense will avoid eye damage. You need to watch out for reflections and things like that, and for burning up close you will definitely need goggles. Looking at the dot on a wall is extremely bright.

You made a good decision.... :)

hmm, i ask one question.. If i play safely with that laser, do i need goggles then?
If i show on the sky, and my friends look, they havent goggles? so, do i need?
Did you understand? ;D

Shining in the sky is ok but goggles are essential for any accidental reflections you may receive from lets say white walls etc. Not only that you are not restricted in your full use of a high powered laser with popping balloons and burning etc :)

You only get one pair of eyes and if they get screwed up :( then having a laser is pointless as you won't be able to see it ::)

just be careful when you play around with it around other people, as in, don't do it hehe... unless you're just pointing it into the sky or something very very far away. this is why i have 2 pairs of goggles, so a second person can see/play with my lasers.
