Oh yeah......the photos are real! The lasers that appear to float were suspended by bkack thread which was removed from the photo using Photoshop.

The last photo is the result of a holographic tip that can be rotated so the dots move aeound each other. The photo of the stationary dots (above last photo) is what it looks like without being rotated. The last photo was a few seconds of exposure time to get that pattern to show.

LOL. Well you can get them at the army surplus store if you have one in your town. They cost about $5.

Dude, that last pic of the portable laser, what mw version is it and which battery does it use, 18650 or AAs? I've got the AA battery version which I got from some bloke in Italy for 190 bones. He said it was the same as older model sold by Wicked and made by CNI Laser. It is rated at 200mw but my laser meter says closer to 170mw. Have you ever taken it apart?

Very nice photos, I like them. I also like the ones on your site, the astronomy ones.

Also, on the photoshopped pictures, if you look you can see where the thread was cut out , there are some distorted pixels, but nice work nonetheless .

Hey DrBrian what's up dude? The portable laser is like the Alpha lasers. I bougt it at the Texas Star Party three years agao from one of the vendors. it was sold there as a 10mW laser but tested at 50mW. It is not that strong but 50mW is a good bright laser. I don't use them much. I have never taken them apart.....is it easy to do? I would like to raise the power of them up. I am curious as to what mamp's they are drawing. Raising it to 300ma would be ideal. Any suggestions?
