Solid 20~30mw rechargeable greenie

Hi everyone,
I have an overspec "5mw" AAA greenie from DX, at about 20mw - 30mw but there are a couple things that are really bothering me about it.

First is that the lens is dirty (lots of speckles) and not properly focused.
Second is that there isn't a good battery choice. Lithium primaries are too expensive, so are alkalines, and eneloops AFAIK will only keep it at full power for a short time. There's NiZN too but they're just not good batteries in general.

So I am looking for a greenie that has a good focus. Preferably not adjustable but I guess adjustable is better than unfocused.
I want it to use a rechargeable battery source and be able to maintain 20mw+ output for a fair amount of time without dimming.
Smallest form factor and lowest price is preferred.

I have eneloops, 18650, pretty much anything will be fine as long as it's rechargeable.
I also don't mind if I have to mod it. If someone can link me or tell me where to get a suitable boost driver that works for 2AAA NiMH or a buck that will work with 2xliion or liFE I'm capable of replacing the driver.

Thanks for reading.

Have a look at this.
It's more powerful than what you've asked for and I've never used the website myself before but that takes 18650s and is cheap enough to not matter if it's not too good.

Hi, I'd prefer there not to be a key lock.
Also I'm also looking for one that will definitely be in the 20mw - 30mw range, it's for pointing so nothing more than that.

The only suggestion I can give at this point is this thread. It has links to loads of merchant sites, one of which might supply the laser you want - you probably have a higher chance of getting a diode and a driver than a whole pointer in one go.

Yeah I've looked at everything on that a few times.

you can use a 10440 lithium ion cell and spacer for your existing pointer.
Yeah I know that too, but I am a bit worried about the battery life. How is it?
I'm also looking for a laser with a nicer lens and is also still about 30mw; the current lens is horribly speckled, glued in, and not focused. Plus it's a pretty crappy/cheap laser, if possible I'd like a slightly nicer one but not too costly.

I run a 941ma on a a140 diode and the 10440 I power it with does the trick for about 20mins

Thanks for the reply :)
Hey that's not too bad, I would consider giving it a try.
Where is a good place to get those+spacer in the US?
