shortest green module available?

i plan to build a matched set of pointers in 1xcr123a flashlighthosts. what is the shortest green module available? only the module itself, i would remove the driver and mount it flat between the module and battery.
diameter doesnt matter (<17mm).
i didnt find any shorter modules than 32mm, all being 12mm in diameter (romisen, standstone, kaidomain cr2, dx).

a module the size of an aixiz module would be great, but i will take whatever is the shortest out there.

output is secondary, but the higher the better ;-)
voltage is unimportant, if needed i'll build a new driver.

if you want, i will write the dimensions of the modules i read, but they all seem equally and too long..

thank you for hints!

Most of them are rather long since you need the crystals and a fair deal of optics as well as the diode. O-like's modules can be cut down as the collimating lens is very far down but you are looking at taking off 6-10mm at most and you risk scratching up the lens pretty badly.

thanks for the hint! o'like's modules seem to be quite popular here..

what i found so far:

http://www.amazing1.com/laser-diode-modules.htm
12x13mm head! 100mw, 210$.
strange offers.. biger modules have the same prices as the tiny ones, they offer 630nm diodes, and are just expensive!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320340468510
tiny as well! unfortunately only 5mw, 42$

http://www.diytrade.com/china/4/products/4898829/green_laser_module.html
6x13.5mm! 5mw, 11$, minimum quantity 500pc.

at least they do exist in such small packages. and since all green modules are the same (in one batch) and simply sorted by output, there should be higher-power small-package modules too, or should come soon!

any more ideas? how about realigning the crystals in such a 5mw module, perhaps a stronger pumpdiode too?
can anyone measure the dimensions of the o'like module? size of the driver and the head, and how much could possibly be trimmed from the head?

thank you for help!

That won't work, as the crystals are so big, and more power would damage them.

Actually, there are very little optics in cheap greenies. Your crystals ( if you count them as optics ) and one expanding and one collimation lens. And as for the crystals, crystal sets in these are only around 4mm long so they don't take up much space.

Greens are usually long because the collimation lens is usually a fair distance away from the expanding lens, although this could be solved by using a collimation lens with a shorter focal length, or an expanding lens with a shorter focal length, meaning the collimation lens could be closer to the expanding lens. If this was to happen though, the beam would be much thinner, and therefore would have greatly increased divergence.

i just got reply from susie from o'like / standstone.
the module with driverboard is 61,5mm, the "head" alone is 40,5mm, diameter 12mm.
i think i will get me a 120+mw one and a few 5+mw for experimenting, lets see how much shorter we can cut these modules, and if its practical to replace the expand/collimate lenses.. :)
perhaps two regular lenses in an aixiz host to get the right distance in between? ..with two focussing lenses in the right distance, instead of a spreading and one collimating lens..
i will post results for sure, but dont hold your breath for it!
