Rechargeable lithium AAA batteries?

I got the 65 mW Green pointer from optronics (Jack picked me out a good one that outputs 85mw average!) and want to get rechargable batteries for it otherwise I will burn through AAA's like its my job. So i have heard that lithium batteries is the way to go since they output a bit more power than your standard AAA. Specifically which recharagble AAA's should I get? Is there a package that comes with the charger? Are there any batteries with slightly higher voltage for more output?

Do a search for sanyo enloops, that's what I use and they work great. They also hold closer to peak power then drop off at the end of the cycle whereas alkalines start going down as soon as you start using them. There 1.2 v whereas alkalines are 1.5 v I noticed no difference in brightness.

just from reading many posts in the forum sanyo's and energizer e2's seem to be the favorites. cant vouch since i have yet to pick up a greenie but thought i'd share what i've picked up.

what if I get a single 3.6v AAA lithium cell and use that with a spacer? Obviously this laser is designed for 3v (2 x 1.5v) so will the extra .6 volts fry the laser?

Most battery aficionado's seem to like Sanyo Eneloops, and I've ordered myself a set as well to see how they compare.

Then again, nothing really wrong with Energizer E2's either.

Check out that review, its about 1.5 years old, but it does give you a good idea of how various batteries perform from diff manufacturers.
And although it doesnt contain the eneloop's in particular, you can still see that the other Sanyo brand is just as competitive with the Energizers, and the Eneloops take that performance level even a step further.

While I do not believe they offer any high voltage rechargeables, they do offer some very good pricing on the regular AAA 1.2V rechargeable batteries. We've used these guys before on several occasions.

hello. i copyed my previuous post in another thread. i thinked 3 option to improve the power of a laser!
hello boy!....i wnat MORE power ( volts) in my laser pen

i thinked 3 things.
1____PUT into the laser 2x 10440 lion battery IN PARALLEL. so... the voltage is only3.6/4 volt. and i think this could NOT break the laser. fresh alkalines are at 1.6 volt...=3.2volt. about 3.6/4 i think cannot be a big proble... just limit the cicle time.(the poblem is only to find a EASY way to put in paralal the batteries....using thin plastic bar... and copper wire.....!!!
2____tu buy SCPECIAL batteries..called KAN700aaa .(at 700mah)battery tih high draft....produced to keep high the voltage...also UNDER BIG LOAD. rechargeable such as other NIMH battery.
3____ to buy another special battery.......battery also KANN400 (at 400mah)BUT IN A SIZE FORM wich is 2/3 of one normal AAAbattery! so... you can put in the laser 3 batteries....to have aboout 1.2*3=3.6 vlt... THIS SHOULD DO the best way!specially for high powered green laser...... at least 60...80mw....because it combines a PERFECT a bit overvlted .....with batteries CREATED to be used in high drain devices
