If anyone is like me, and wanted a case for their BFG, I have the solution!
The Otterbox 2 stick cigar caddy #3140.  With a little work on the foam padding inside the watertight case, it makes a perfect laser case.  I removed the foam from mine, and cut a couple strips of bubble-wrap instead.  If fits nice and snug, won't move if you shake it, and best of all, it's watertight!
;)

Since I cannot post links, change *** to www

www.seriouscigars.com/types/Build_mfr.asp?mfg=Cigar+Caddy&Cat=Humidification

then you want the Cigar Caddy Travel 3140 - 2 Stick
Black Color   Size: 9" x 2
$17.00 + Shipping.

***EDIT Fixed link***
Mine was $22 total and arrived in 3 days!

Now this is nice.  I also found a very nice case for the BFG
http://www.pelicanproducts.us/detailaspx20.html

Pelican cases are very nice and are waterproof, and pressure relief valve as well.  I will not be purchasing this particular case but if your looking for a case for just one laser, this one is perfect.  I however want a case for ALL of my lasers so I am buying the pelican 1150 and storing all of my lasers in it.

There is also lots of services online where you can have custom foam made for you. I am presently looking at one that is a bit expensive but they cut the foam out from a cad program you download and design the foam inserts. The software is specifically set up to integrate for pelican cases and is very easy to use. For the case I want the foam inserts cut out for my 4 lasers is $51 and I'm actually thinking about doing this as I HATE cubed foam.

Yea I used a cigar tube myself a few times, when I had it in my pocket a couple of times; I didn't want to get lint in the aperture. I got tired of taking it out of the case, putting the case back in my pocket, using the laser and then putting everything back again. So instead I got a flexible PVC cap that goes neatly over the aperture, pops off & on in a snap; looks like it came with the laser and protects it from pocket lint.

Would this fit my Spyder?
The GX.

I have no idea of its height :(
They are available for almost every size in the universe.
I have them on most of my hi-tech flashlights too.

Hey I have an idea, why don't someone create a mass order for them so that we can get it cheaper?
Not that I need one though, just a suggestion ;)

and where do you get those snazzy things?
You can get them at automotive shops, and refrigeration parts shops; commonly referred to as vacuum caps.

I baught some of those for my laser 20mw greenie, I got them at a hardware store and their what you put on the end of metal/steel rods/pipes, I think it's pipes, that's what they told me at the store.  Anyways go to a hardware store and just explain what it looks like and I'm sure they'd know what you're talking about, but seriously their great for protecting your lasers!

I work at an automotive parts store and we havn't got anything that big for the BFG.  The other yes.  those are easy.  Huge one's though that is what I was wondering.

Why don't laser manufacturers send these things out stock with your laser??? it's just such a damned good idea!

I use telescoping shipping tubes to carry my laser, it fits nearly any length and any width laser, excluding the Hercules type. They're light weight, durable, and cheap, $1.00 each.

https://www.gopens.com/Parts/Tubes.htm

Heres some pics (click to enlarge):

I hate to be negative here, BUT the description of these is far from Accurate. They do NOT nearly fit every width Laser except the Hercules. They actually will ONLY fit Pen style Lasers, the Width is NOT adjustable; the width is .801" or 20.3mm and the max length is 8-3/4". So they will NOT fit PGL's, PPL/RPL, Spyder, Aries, Glowtorch, BFG, Envee, etc.

So if you have a pretty much standard Pen style Laser, these will work for you; However they are pretty much useless and a waste of your money for the above fore mentioned Lasers I outlined. They are a good 'find' for Pen Style Lasers though.
