Opto Pointer Maintenance

I'm starting to get some dust splatter from my +150 Premium pen and was wondering what's the best way to clean the lens?
I can see the glass when I look through the aperture but it's recessed and quite a ways down.
What's the best method to get in there and not screw anything up?
