Thats no different than pot modding. The whole idea behind pot modding AND that vid is to increase the pump diode's current in order to achieve a higher output, both are dumb and will almost always result in a premature diode failure

I completely disagree!
The whole idea behind that video is to get some moron extra Youtube hits
the inventor´s mod answer:
"The reason is that my mod bypasses resistors, which means lots (Max) of power entering the laser diode.
The normal pod mod decreases a little resistance to allow addition current to enter the laser diode.
You cannot apply both mods... Applying the pod mod is... let's say a 50% work. My mod is like a 100% work... So the pod mod is a subset of my mod."
then, you really agree that, as pot mod, this is a waste of time? burn my diode in 3 days? :yh:

That is the a million times worse than a pot mod. Pot mods can be controlled. His way can not.

The more U-Tube videos I see about lasers the more I realize that there are a lot of people who own lasers but don't know the first thing about them. There are a lot of clueless folks out there giving suggestions to other clueless folks.

Does someone know how to adapt the aixiz module in a chinese 5mw green laser? I don´t wanna use my mini mag for this...
