awesome......pot modded lasers. i bet they're all the same laser too. and SUCH a price difference just to increase the voltage and kill the life span. we all should order 1 of each!

Maybe the 100mw isn't actually pot modded, and we should just buy that one then turn up the pot. Its only $38.

Hmm I wonder how good these are, I was about to order the true 30 pen, now I'm lost on which to get :(

Wonder if i should get the 100mw...

EDIT: I think the 100mw is a 50mw pot modded, the 150 is a 100 and the 200 is a 150.

I wouldn't bother. I bought the pot modded 50mw, and the diode ate it in about a week. Was fun to take apart, though [smiley=grin.gif]

i guess thats why there so cheap, my hopes of owning a burning greenie for under 70 bucks went back down the drain. :(

From my understanding though, under 100mw isnt such a great burner. now my DIY 250mw red, thats a burner ;p
I think I'm just gonna get the true 30 and just use it for pointing not burning :/ it looks better then the pot modded ones imo.

it sucks the laser show is that expensive i would have definitely bought one...

Has anyone ordered the 200mW pot modded one yet?
Just curious because I posted a question on 200mW page on DX as well as started a customer service request asking if they have them IN stock or what.
No reply as of yet... I just don't want to wait a month like I did over at KD then have them say they are having a hard time getting them...

It might not last long but it'll be fun to play with for a while...
So far my green 200mW DX pen style and 200mW red has lasted ok.

If anyone orders please post back.

i dont think anyone here is gonna pay that much for a laser that will probably go outwith a few weeks, when you can just buy a 200mW laser for about that price on kaidomain.

I just don't like KD's way of doing business-saying they have products in stock on their website-even when you email them w/questions regarding availability, then changing to waiting on supplier for a month-then canceling my order without me specifically telling them to! 6 weeks wasted - from order time>refund.

So has anyone tested the output or reviewed the KD model you are speaking about?
I would assume it's this one:
200mW Green Laser Pen (One CR123A Battery)
KD#: SKU4508 $149.90

So DX is charging $118 for the pot mod version and for $31.90 more you can get the KD model.

Is anyone certain if the KD one is overdriven/pot mod also? Or is it a genuine 200mW diode/circuit designed for 200mW?

You are correct about the small price difference-as long as I know I'm getting the real deal and not just the same pot modded one for more $$$ at KD.

Your thoughts?
