It looks like DX has some new lasers up for grabs...

Here are the links:
500mW
400mW
350mW
300mW
250mW

Don't they look similar to Viasho lasers?

Edit: They even come with free safety goggles! Anybody want to take one for the team and see if these are any good?
It also comes with a very sexyyyy carrying bag to hold your laser. I'm sure that will seal the deal for most of you.

What happened to the referral links? You could make a ton if someone actually bought one!

That carrying bag is 100% manly, I think I might buy the laser for that awesome case!

Yikes!

Looking at the images they look just like RPLs, even down to the battery reduction insert. At least Jack doesn't sell his RPLs with bags like that. (Gag :p) I'm not sure I'd trust DX enough to spend 1G+ on a laser that could get confiscated with no recourse! These are probably "Max.power-rated" anyway and average 30% less "real" power.

I'd stick to Optotronics and pay a bit more for a better pump diode and Jack's testing. Too much money to risk IMHO.

That's what the bag is for :D It probably ships as "make-up kit" ;D Plus it's really trendy too. :p

DX has gone from 'oh, selling 1 or two lasers here and there' to a serious laser reseller

Is anyone gonna bite the bullet and try one of these? I think everyone agrees, we'd LOVE to see a review (and output measurements) for one of these.

If DX is ever going to be a serious laser reseller they NEED to invest in a power meter and IR filter so they can test these expensive lasers.

With the huge amount of highpowered lasers they're selling , that should be a little investment. :-/ I mean, what are we talking about? Several hundred dollars for a decent meter should do it.It would make a big difference. :p

They could avoid hundreds of RMA's and complaints if they paid $1000Max for some decent laser testing equipment. It would pay for itself in no time.
