My DIY Green laser torch

Hi everyone, this is my first DIY laser torch,
use 1xCR2 or 1xCR123A 3.0v/3.7v lithium battery, it's really portable and **FOCUSABLE**.
Host model: Romisen RC-i3
Output power: >5 to <200 (The LD is changeable so that i can choose the mW as I need)

cut metal thing......heatsink, no machine is used, just a small saw only, and my hands.
I haven't got any equipment to measure the accurate power.

Just wanna share.

How did you go about making it a 'focusable' green laser?

Thats a really nice build! I'm used to see red and blu-rays only in such compact hosts, so it looks very nice with a green beam coming out.

I'm also very curious about how you achieved a green module that both has adjustable focus and power. Very interesting.

Right, i am uploading the pics right now,
"how does it work?", now let you all know.

This is not an O-like module.
The most difficult thing is cutting the 5mW red diode to fit the host......

there is no suitable green laser for me(in China [Hong Kong]), those MIC lasers are very LARGE and always powered by 18650 battery.
i need a small green laser like igor's, but unfortunately, i DON'T think 18650's green torch is portable! that is why i made it.

Why don't you make a green like this? I am still looking for a green laser like that.
I think everyone in this forum can do it better than me as well, Igor and you (Jay) especially.

I think he got it from a diffrent laser pointer

i found one that looked similar in a dx greenie

exacly......I tested at least 40 green modules which are produced in China, 3mins for each one, because i don't trust their quality
and then I’ve got 23 modules…..fail!

Did you cut the green module or the red modules heatsink?
In pic 3 there is 2 heatsinks.If you use the original heat sink of the host then what is the other one is for?
and in pic 4 what is that thing at the end of the LD driver?
What is the performance of CR2 or CR123A batteries for green? I am not pleased with CR2 batteries with my blue laser. you can only play for 3-4 minutes with full power then it decreases.

If it performs well the size is great. If the heatsink is enough for a duty cycle around 5 minutes it is enough for me. Better than a pensize green
