Hello! I have bought a 50mW green laser on ebay. I enclose a photo of the laser therefore you can see it.
Little ago on youtube I have seen the video of some laser, also from 35mW that they succeeded to burning matches and making to burst balloons.
How it is possible? my laser is really 50mW? those on youtube are modified? if yes, my laser can be modified? how?

Guido --

That looks like a "Newish" pointer. In order to get full power, you need REALLY good cells. When I put e2 Lithium cells into a 20 mW laser, it went up to 45 mW without mods.
Get the best cells (batteries) you can find.

Well, I could try with other batteries.
The Chinese batteries in equipment have arrived nearly completely low charge!
NowI am using new batteries but… that are of the IKEA! :p.
Tomorrow I will buy some duracell... are that good?


excuse me, another question: the e2 Lithium cells that you use are rechargable? what mark?

The Energizer e2 Lithium cells I use are not rechargeable. They output about 1.7 volts new and will provide high current for short periods. I pay about $2.50 USD per cell.

can i ask you some Qustions about it ?

1) can it pop balons ?
2) can it light a match ?
3) how visable is his beam ?

All - HemlockMike hit the nail on the head - that IS a NEw Wish branded laser, and as such can either be right on the money at 50mw, or between 25 and 75mw !! And that is without any modification to it ! Be carefull with the tip of hte laser - it is REALLY difficult to clean "stuff" out of it once it makes its way inside. When you look for batteries, look for the high drain non-rechargeable lithium AAA's....You will be VERY happy with their output !

well..in israel we dont have any lithium AAA's accepct for "sanyo" ...lol
Iwas thinking of buying an rechargeable GP 4xAAA 1000Mah 1.2v for only 10$ ( 45 shequls ).
Which in israel counts as a very chip price...

well, with the duracell's cells i can't pop balloons, i can't light matches, but the beam is very rilevant.
Infact it is visible for at least 3km.

are you informed about the real power of the laser in the next photo?
in particular it is able to pop balloons and/or light matches and if yes in how many seconds it is possible?

I got some duracell here right next to me... the "Plus " vision ...are they good ?

Perheps you got a weeker laser... like SenKat said...this laser MW range is from 25 to 75 .

and The picture you have uploaded show a laser that will pop balons and light matchs for sure !

Well, if the label is to be believed, it is a 100mw laser - if it canot light a match, you were ripped - the Nova Lasers X-85 I have can light matches with nearly dead batteries !

I'm amazed at how many people take a gamble with moody lasers, before they finally read a forum and learn about the market and what hot and what's not...

I understand what is a good laser...
but not all of us have a "spare" 100$ !!!
I paid only 35$ including shiping to israel for my green 50mw laser that can pop balons !
Now i am buying anouther one..the same for my friend but in the silver color...so i only wanted to know if they are they same..
cuz my laser kick's a*s !
