A while ago i got this green laser from here: http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/ledp/LP1086.htm

Its a good laser, more power then I ever would have thought would come from such a little laser. I think it's over powered, I've had a few 50mws in the past and it's almost as bright. Lately I've gotten bored with the looks, so when i had some spare time in the shop, i made this little heat sink.

eh.. its not perfect. My laser was heating up so kinda free handed that heat sink... After i was done it reminded me of the RPLs and the Hercules. The measurements for my heat sink are 1.020" long and .650 for the diameter. plus the holes drilled and everything. sadly i don't have a herc of my own to measure, even though i could search on the forum and online. I can always make another..

If you looked at the link that was posted, you'll see that it's a heatsink that's just slipped over the top of the laser, not a stand alone host.

Nice job though, matches the handle well. Did it help at all with heatsinking?

I knew exactly what it was. But don't you think you could easily put in an Aixiz module instead of a pen? All you would need to add is a separator between the driver and battery compartment.

yea, it helps a lot. I just had it on for over 2 mins and it barely got warm.. it is a slip-on heat sink, i just put a small piece of electrical tape on top of the warning sticker (put at the end of the aperture) to hold the heat sink against the side without the sticker.

@randomlugia, I'm not sure what you mean by the separator between the driver and the battery. The back screws off for the 1 AAA if that answers anything
