Avoid laserpointerpro.com. I ordered a 150mw green laser on Jan 17 2012 it finally arrived Feb. 20 2012. What a hunk of junk! I have a $10 5mw that I got on flee bay that is brighter.

I would probably go with the lazerer option. My understanding is that they really stand behind their products and accept pay pay which I am told has a easeier dispute resolution program than credit card comapnies.

Not like Lasersman.com which is a horrible company. If anything goes wrong after you recieve your product, good luck to you !! This company will not survive the competition with others companies that actually respect their clients and their business.

Also ask them if they will refund or resend the product in the event it doesnt get through customs. O-like told me a year ago they would refund half, but that may have changed.

I wrote an email to the customer service from lazerer and asked them about registered mail and what will happen if my laser dont gets through costums.

If i get a mail back, i will tell you what they have written.

Max from lazerer.com said, that i have to take the costums at my own risk.
They won't refund anything if i don't get because of the costums and they will not send another laser.

So i don't know if should buy it :(

If you live in the US I'd say its a pretty good chance you'll get it past customs. I got mine without any problems, which seems to be the commonality for most people (its arrival, not seizure)

Where are you located?

It's a good idea to add your location to your profile.

Customs are rarely an issue, but it is a risk and 100% your responsibility.

If you are concerned you can pay a bit more and have the laser shipped in parts.

Germany has some pretty strict rules iirc. A couple of people have problems with german customs.

What I mean by parts, is have the tail cap, battery and charger etc shipped separately. The main part of the laser first, everything that can be unscrewed from it, separately, and second.

I ordered 3 Flashlights and many parts for them from China. The customs never controlled anything of it. So it would be possible, that the customs don't controll it now. Ooor i just had luck and this time they will get me :yabbem:
I don't need batteries and a charger so that shipping costs will not be that high.

You mean i should let them ship the main part at first and then the tailcap?
Why should it be easier to get it through customs?

EDIT:
I asked Max from lazerer if its possible to ship it by parts. I think he will answer tomorrow.
