Am certain the IR 35mW means the output is 35mW less with IR filter in place and not that the 532nm green output is 35mw which would be silly and mean it was really a 500mW IR laser with a 35mW green output.

Beneath the two graphs it says IR output: 35mW. Maybe they meant that they filtered out the green for the second graph?

EDIT: wow, you guys are fast

My question is did I just get SCAMED by LAZERER?
I purchased 532nm 500mW Green Laser but the power certificate says something else?

You misread it. BIG TIME. It clearly say it's blocking IR. So no you didn't get scammed. Over reacted big time though.

You're fine. 529-35 = 494mW
Labled Power: <500mW

That is RIGHT on spec if you ask me.

I appreciate your wisdom on your reply. I sent over that Power Certificate over to DTR's Shop last night and he told me to post here because he thought that I got ripped off! So yes of coarse I panicked because he's a reputable source!

Isnt it impossible for a DPPS laser with a combined output of over 500mw to put out only 35mw of 532nm?

No it is not impossible. Though I doubt lazerer would let one slip by that does that...

Yea, even it it was possible.. lol

DPSS crystal efficiency eh? That would suck. Having to get lucky with the diode AND the crystals. Gosh

worry about the diode is enough :D

Haha, that better be a miss labled power graph.

If you read the PDF attached to the OP it clearly says "With IR Filter" and shows a graph going up to ~35mW. I assume it should state "With 532nm Filter" and everything would be correct and as expected.

Don't worry about the laser, you can easily tell if you have 35mW or 494mW of 532nm. :)

WAY over hyping. I feel my blood pressure going up just reading this. Big deep breaths and push please.
Forget the power certificate for a moment AND If you can clearly see the beam inside then it is putting out a good number. If you can see the beam only when it is dark then there's a problem with the unit. Couldn't be simpler. A 500mw beam will be VERY bright.
If you had just posted some beam shots instead of all that other stuff (a link would have been fine) you would have gotten an answer a moment after posting.
Please no more panicking like this in the future:tsk:
